It's hard to form “relationships” and come into “community” when people sit in rows looking at the back of each other's heads on Sunday mornings. We are a community of people who intentionally live by the principle of koinonia – purposefully loving each other because of our connection to Jesus. We endeavor to live in a state of “one another.”
“Get out there and walk—better yet, run!... pouring yourselves out for each other in acts of love.”
“One of the most liberating things you can experience is to forget about YOUR needs!”
Jesus died for everybody so that they wouldn’t continue to focus on themselves but on him. This is in such stark contrast to the gospel that is lived today which puts us at the center.
